WHEN A PEOPLE BOWS BEFORE GOD

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land."(II Chronicles 7:14 NKJV)

FRANKLIN GRAHAM AND DECISION AMERICA TOUR

The above verse in Second Chronicles, sets forth a revival prayer applicable to God's people in any age. The context is God talking to Solomon after the king's dedicatory prayer for the temple – one that focuses the responsibility of any people to seek God for mercy after sin has brought its desolation, plague, and judgments.

Scripture makes it abundantly clear that there are consequences for sin. God promised Solomon that if he kept all God's statutes and judgements that he would be blessed perpetually. I Kings 9:3-4. Then God added that should Solomon or any of his sons turn from following Him, they would be cast from His sight and Israel would become a proverb and byword. I Kings 9:6-7.

When a person with deep heart-felt compassion humbly calls upon God, He opens heavens windows and responds. Franklin Graham with Decision America Tour is doing the right thing by calling America back to God by making a presentation on the front lawn of each state's capitol, one every week during 2016. Prayer is the most powerful TOOL Americans and Christians have at their disposal. When Job prayed for his friends, God gave back to Job TWICE as much as he had before his loses. Job 42:10.

The U.S. Supreme Court legalized the killing millions of babies the past 30 years. Recently it legalized homosexual marriage. Inclement weather, forest fires, volcano's erupting, etc., has been a reality on our fallen planet forever. However, I believe the increase in forest fires, massive flooding, monster tornadoes across America and horrendous hurricanes along our Atlantic seaboard are all expressions of God's anger. God admonishes His people both long ago and now:

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord . . . " (Psalms 33:12 NKJV)
"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34 NKJV)
"When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the                                  people groan." (Proverbs 29:2 NKJV)

Abraham Lincoln said it best, "What is morally wrong cannot be politically correct."

It is my prayer that God will expand the scope, reach and impact of Franklin Graham, the Decision America Tour and that others will join in his effort for a National Revival. My heart feels drawn to the prayer of Jehoshaphat in II Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV). This prayer is so timely, due to the choke hold our nation is in at the moment. It will behoove each of us to pray this prayer daily:

"O OUR GOD, WILL YOU NOT JUDGE THEM? FOR WE HAVE
NO POWER AGAINST THIS GREAT MULTITUDE THAT IS
COMING AGAINST US; NOR DO WE KNOW WHAT TO DO,
BUT OUR EYES ARE UPON YOU."
