THERE ARE MANY WAYS FAMILY AND FRIENDS ENJOY GOOD TIMES TOGETHER. THOSE PICTURED ABOVE ARE ONLY A FEW.

"What is the secret of your life", asked a close friend of a very successful friend. "Tell me that I may make mine beautiful, too." His reply was simply, "I had a friend."

We all have our circle of friends. Many have more than one circle of friends. I have a friend who meets with a circle of friends one evening monthly to play their guitars. This same gentleman has another circle of friends who go fishing together. Again, this same friend of mine has yet another circle of friends who get together just to walk and discuss subjects of interest.

But, what is a friend? A group of friends were gathered together for a time of social fellowship. The conversation drifted to the subject of friendship. One who was an athlete said, "In my opinion, a friend is a balancing pole that enables one to walk the tight-rope of life without falling."

One who was a physician said, "I believe a friend may be likened to a soft bandage and a soothing ointment for the cuts and bruises of life."

A botanist said, "A friend is a vine that clings to us and hides the discrepancies and rough places of life."

Another, a jeweler responded with, "A friend is a golden link in the chain of life."

A lady who had been through a time of mourning responded, "A friend is one who comes in when the whole world goes out."

Charles Kingsley is credited with having said, "A friend is one who knows all about you and still loves you all the same."

The best friend of all is Jesus who said, "Greater love hath no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." John 15:13 (NKJV)

You cannot buy a friend. They are God-given and their friendship lasts throughout Eternity.
