The Bible starts with, “IN THE BEGINNING GOD . . . “, and no effort is made to prove His existence or the truthfulness of the Book forthcoming. In the first ten chapters of Genesis one gains information that would take days at the local library reading volume after volume. But, would still come up short, as science still does not know how the various languages came into existence. Moses told how the various languages came about. See Genesis 11:5-9.

Only ignorance scoffs at the Bible. Atheists have railed at it. Agnostics have smiled cynically upon it. Profane and prayerless lips have pouted at it. Materialists have ignored its spiritual claims.

How did Isaiah know that the earth was round or a circle? He said, “It is He who sits upon the circle of the earth. . “ Read Isaiah 40:22.

How did Job know before NASA that there was an empty space in the northern sky that was starless? Job 26:7 states, "He stretches out the north over an empty space. He hangs the earth on nothing." Job 26:7.

How did Paul, the apostle, know about the ATOM long before modern science? The writer stated, "By faith we understand the worlds . . . which are seen were not made of things which are visible." Hebrews 11:3.

How did the writer of Psalms, know about the paths in the sea? ". . you have put all things under his feet . . . beasts of the field . . . birds of the air . . . And the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas." Psalms 8:7-8. In 1860, Lieut. Matthew Maury, a pioneer in oceanography, studied the sea, meteorology, winds, current and thousands of ship logs. He made maps of the paths of the sea. Water in the sea paths moves faster than the water runs down the Mississippi River making shipping faster and cheaper!

Did the prophet Amos understand the cycle of water from the sea, to the clouds, then rain on the ground and back to the sea again? ". . . He calls for the waters from the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth." Amos 5:8.

How did Job, know about the springs of the seas? Job 38:16, "Have you entered the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in search of the depths?" Nuclear submarines with their cameras have discovered these springs bubbling at the bottom of the seas!!

How did Job know about the Behemoth (dinosaur) whose tail was like a Cedar tree? See Job 40:15-24. Sounds as terrible as the pictures of reconstructed archeologically found bones.

The answer to these questions is found in the fact that the Bible was written as no other book was ever written. The apostle Peter explains, "For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." I Peter 1:21.  Paul adds this, "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comforts of the Scriptures might have hope." Romans 15:4.

Three thousand years ago Moses wrote that life is in the blood. See Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 17:11; Deuteronomy 12:16. How did Moses know this?

How did Jeremiah know the stars could not be numbered? See Jeremiah 33:22. Also, how did Paul the apostle know that there are no two stars alike? Refer to I Corinthians 15:41.

Did Job understand the subtle, mysterious pulling power of distant stars through light years of space? Yet, Job said, "Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the belt of Orion? Can you bring out the Mazzaroth in its season? Or guide the Great Bear with its cubs?" See Job 38:31-32 (NKJV)

The Bible makes more than 40 references to the great Hittite Empire. Skeptics have contended forever (almost) that the Bible is dead wrong on this. However, in 1906, Hugo Winckler, uncovered a huge library of 10,000 clay tablets, which completely documents the lost Hittite Empire. They rivaled Egypt and Assyria in its glory and power.

What did Job know about harnessing lightning and electricity? In Job 38:35, we read, "Can you send out lightnings, that they may go, and say to you 'Here we are?'" May 24, 1844, Samuel Morse sent the first telegraph message, "See what God hath wrought?"

The claim that the Bible is the "word" of God is made 680 times in its first five books. It is repeated 418 times in the historic books of the Old Testament. It is also declared 196 times in the Psalms. In the Prophetical books, the claim is made 1,307 times that their words came from God.

Let us not lose any sleep over the scientists and skeptics. They will catch up with God and the Bible if they keep searching for the truth! in the meantime do not let any half-baked scientist or self-acclaimed philosopher lead you to believe that the Bible is unscientific and out of date.
