TELL OTHERS WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE

"THEN THEY CAME TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SEA, TO THE COUNTRY OF THE

GADARENES, AND WHEN HE HAD COME OUT OF THE BOAT, IMMEDIATELY THERE

MET HIM OUT OF THE TOMBS A MAN WITH AN UNCLEAN SPIRIT." Mark 5:1,2 (NKJV)

Once you are touched by the Master of all Creation, you are forever changed, and the change is likely to move you to action! When ordinary people come into contact with the extraordinary Christ, they are transformed.

How well remember how many decades ago, I often ridiculed Billy Graham as being "in the rackets" for the money. One day I had agreed to help a minister friend work on a house he was constructing. He used the opportunity to witness to me. Initially I simply brushed him off, but eventually I was over whelmed by the Holy Spirit and I accepted Christ as my savior. Prior to this I had refused to listen to Billy Graham and would turn him off when he came on over the radio. The first Sunday morning after I accepted Christ, Billy Graham came on and I sat quietly listened to him. As the program ended I commented, "Wow! He is preaching better than he used to!" My wife leaned against me, gave me a hug and said, "Honey, Billy Graham hasn't changed, you have. You have experienced grace and have been changed."

Such was the case with the demon possessed man in the country of the Gadarenes, in Mark 5, as an example. His spiritual desecration, social isolation, mental domination, emotional desperation, physical mutilation, moral degradation and total devastation caused everyone to run from him – that is, everyone but Jesus.

In the final verses of Mark 4, Jesus had just sailed through a hellish storm to get to this man. This man was possessed by numerous demons and could not be chained, as he snapped chains and ropes into pieces. He became a changed man once he was "in the grip of grace". The former demoniac wanted to accompany Jesus and his disciples, but Jesus told him, "Go home to your friends and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how He had compassion on you." Mark 5:19 (NKJV) When you've been redeemed it seems like the very least you can do is tell someone what the Lord has done!
