MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM

For many years I had the opportunity to work with or otherwise associate with people, who, though they professed to be Christian, they had no assurance where they would spend eternity when they died. This is a terrible tragedy, to not know for sure that they will go to heaven when they die. This is no way to live out one’s life on God’s green earth.

One very bright light in our spiritual heavens of giving us assurance of where we will spend the endless days of eternity is given by John – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV).

This is one of the first bright lights of assurance for the Christian. WHOEVER leaves out no one whom the Holy Spirit moves to believe in Jesus Christ.

God, in His love for all of humanity has given us a meteor-shower of WHOEVERs.  Let us view each bright light one at a time from this meteor shower.

On the first Pentecost after Christ's resurrection, the apostle Peter made a long quotation from the prophet Joel, ending with Acts 2:21, "And it came to pass that WHOEVER calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." The entire quotation, Acts 2:17-21 by Peter, is from Joel 2:28-31. So WHOEVER has it's roots in the Old Testament.

"To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, WHOEVER believes in Him will receive remission of sins." Acts 10:43 (NKJV).

"As it is written: Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and WHOEVER believes on Him will not be put to shame."   Romans 9:33 (NKJV).

"For the Scripture says, WHOEVER believes on Him will not be put to shame."  Romans 10:11 (NKJV)

                         (See Isa. 18:16 & Jere. 17:7).

"For WHOEVER calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 (NKJV).

"WHOEVER confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he is in God."

                        I John 4:15 (NKJV).

"WHOEVER believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, . . . ." I John 5:1 (NKJV).

"We know that WHOEVER is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him." I John 5:18 (NKJV).

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who thirsts come, WHOEVER desires, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17 (NKJV).

We can depend upon God's word. Isaiah 55:11 tells us: "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;  It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." (NKJV).

God's Word is forever settled in heaven. Let us read it daily - let us read it reverently - let us read it with an open heart seeking the Holy Spirit's guide into God's eternal will. We have been carried to the far edges in this day in which we live. We must realize that God's Word is forever settled in heaven. The purposes and promises of God are not without effect to those who believe. There will be no one in heaven who did not seek God's will. There will be no one in hell who earnestly sought God's will. The Bible clearly teaches that God is a bountiful rewarder to everyone who diligently seeks Him. The Bible also tells us that God is a revenger, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord."  Romans 12:19 (NKJV).
