Don's Gospel Art Store

Photographic prints of the original Gospel Art Series, by Colorado artist Luella Brown, have been an inspiration to many.

Though the artist parted this life in October 1991, to be with her beloved Savior, these prints are now available through Across the Garden Gate Ministries and her husband.

A set of each Gospel Art Print, the print and accompanying Inspiring Thought, each 8 x 10, are available for only $17.95, postage and handling included. Saving you additional postage and other cost, the Prints and Inspiring Thoughts will be shipped flat. This allows you to purchase your frames locally to fit your personal taste and decor.

Introducing... the Gospel Art Series...

by Luella Brown, Gospel Artist.

Luella lived for 4 years, with her parents, near Lake George and Divide, Colorado, which is where she developed a love for the mountains. At the age of 8 they moved to Pueblo, Colorado. Luella and her mother took art lessons under the skilled tutoring of an art teacher at the Pueblo Junior College.
Over the intervening years Luella graduated from Centennial High School, St. Louis School of Music and Pueblo Junior College.  After a stint of teaching school at the Beulah Grade School and the Baxter Air Base School, both outside Pueblo, CO, specializing in music and art, she decided it was time to focus her talents on her art.
In 1952 her paintings sold well from a booth at the Colorado State Fair. Luella went on to participate in many art shows and fairs. Among them are Westcliffe Library Art Fair in Westcliffe, CO; the Citadel in Colorado Springs and the Common Wheel Arts and Crafts Shopin Manitou Springs, CO. Many art galleries, such as Kemper Art Galleries in Colorado Springs sold her art.
After many years of successfully selling her beautiful Scenic and Wildlife art, in 1970 Luella's art took on a new twist. She now was specializing in painting Gospel Art depicting scripture concepts. She displayed her Gospel Art along with other natural works of art in many well known galleries. This spurred the demand for Luella to create paintings from photos of special places, as well as a demand for prints of the Gospel Art Series. Though she retained the originals for her personal collection, demand for prints of them with the accompanying devotions grew. Keeping up with the demand proved to be a pleasant challenge.
Due to demand, Luella had many other sketches on the drawing board for more beautiful Gospel Art, but she was called home to her Savior in 1991. Luella would be pleased if she could know the prints of her Gospel Art paintings are again coming to the forefront, honoring her Lord.
