Gospel Art Series-4a

 A Way Of Escape

A veteran lion hunter declares that the lion, though very powerful, has lost his lunch if he fails to down his prey in the first leap. So the big buck in our picture stands but one leap away from freedom, but standing idle here is quite as dangerous as to have already chosen the low road, on which danger always lurks.

How often in life we stand at the crossroads! The deadly lion of temptation often overcomes us in these vulnerable moments of indecision. Amazingly enough we are usually trapped by evils that in our more secure moments would not even appeal to us. but, the Bible holds the key in I Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make A WAY OF ESCAPE that ye may be able to bear it."  (KJV).

Remember THE WAY OF ESCAPE nearly always leads to higher ground.
