Gospel Art Series-1a

 Psalm 42:1

The original oil painting was commissioned by Sam Smith after seeing, The Way of Escape, declaring, "I like the painting . . . but I wouldn't have a Whitetail in my house!"

During research on the Mule Deer, the artist discovered many differences between the delicate Whitetails and  their more robust cousins, the Mule Deer, including the remarkable oversized "mule  ears", for which the Mule Deer is named.  When the artist delivered the  painting, Sam's wife, Dodie, knowing  about the Gospel Art Series Collection, exclaimed, "Oh, that's Psalm 42:1!"

"As the hart (buck deer) panteth the water brooks,

so panteth my soul after thee, O God."   (KJV)

Copyrights and rights of reproduction of the Original Oil Painting, were retained by the artist and is part of the Gospel Art Series.
